Lipoxen PLC (AIM: LPX) is founded on the science of researchers at The School of Pharmacy, primarily that of Professor Gregory Gregoriadis. The company, which floated on the London AIM market in 2006 offers its proprietary technologies which utilize liposomes and polysialic acid to deliver drugs more efficiently.

Pharmaterials
Pharmaterials provides formulation services to pharmaceutical companies, particularly focusing on problem molecules at early stage development.

PolyTherics
Polytherics is a drug optimisation company, focussing on enhancement of the properties of bio-medicines. The company was spun out from the School of Pharmacy in 2003 based on intellectual property developed in the laboratory of professor Steve Brocchini.

Spirogen
Spiropgen is a pioneer in the discovery and development of a unique class of low molecular weight sequence-specific DNA-interactive drugs designed to treat gene-mediated diseases, primarily focusing on cancer.

Therakind
Therakind is at the cutting edge of paediatric drug technology with expertise in all aspects of the development of paediatric medicines.  Founding scientist, Professor Ian Wong, is committed to the development of safer medicines for children, and seeks through Therakind to bring clinically proven medicines specifically designed for children to the market.
